Both are surrounded by an ultra thin film developed by 3M that provides ultimate durability. The soft layer provides ultra comfortable cushioning, while the more firm layer supports your foot as it hits the ground. With the two combined you get a wonderfully cushioned step with a slight rebound effect as you walk.
